Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of King Leopold I of the Belgians standing, facing three-quarters to the left. He turns his head to look towards the camera and rests his left hand on an ornamental plinth. An ornamental balustrade can be seen in the background.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2907573.
