Glass plate negative of Prince Frederick William of Prussia seated in a full length portrait and facing three-quarters to the right. He holds a cane in one hand and holds a hat in the bend of his other arm. Photographed outside at Balmoral during the Prince's stay there during which he was photographed with his bride to be, Princess Victoria.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2906606.
