Empress Friedrich (1840-1901), when Crown Princess of Prussia

Mar 1862

RCIN 2082698

Glass plate negative featuring two full length portraits of  Princess Victoria seated, facing slightly to the right. She holds what looks like one or two flowers on her lap, and wears a long cape over her dress, buttoned at her neck. Two plants can be seen in background.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from this negative exist in the Collection, RCINs 2900554 and 2900552.
