Construction of the Mausoleum at Frogmore

2 - 2 Feb 1864

RCIN 2084219

Glass plate negative of the entrance to the Royal Mausoleum. The photograph was taken during the construction of the mausoleum. The lower part of the building is surrounded by timber scaffolding. Builders work in front of the porch and two men wearing top hats stand at the foot of the steps.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2101515.
