Construction of the Mausoleum at Frogmore
29 - 29 Nov 1864RCIN 2084233
Glass plate negative of a group of men operating a lifting frame. The frame is erected at the foot of the stairs leading to the Royal Mausoleum entrance. A number of men stand on or by the frame, including a man in top hat that gazes at the camera.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from this negative do not seem to exist in the Collection, however a variant, taken possibly later on, is represented by RCIN 2101573.
