Glass plate negative of photograph depicting a portrait of Baron Christian Stockmar (1787-1863), seated at a side table that has a paper on it. He rests his right arm on the edge of the table and faces the viewer. 

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from this negative exist in the Collection (e.g. RCINs 2906642 and 2935073).
