Glass plate of Arthur Farquarson seated on a wooden chair and facing three-quarters to the left. He wears a tartan plaid wrapped over his left shoulder and a Tam O' Shanter hat. He holds a walking stick in one hand.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2160351.
