Woodbury type | 18.4 x 22.0 cm (image) | RCIN 2101204

This photograph of the north side of the Albert Memorial Chapel, shows the view towards the cenotaph of Albert, Prince Consort. The print is from an album of photographs by Jane and Margaret Davison, titled The Triqueti Marbles in the Albert Memorial Chapel, Windsor. The album was acquired by Queen Victoria by 1876. This would have been a very important commission for Jane and Margaret Davison, during a time when women faced many challenges establishing their professional status as photographers.
