A printed letter from George Graham, Registrar-General, responding to a request from the Society of Arts for a statement of the estimated population of London in 1849, 1859 and 1861. A second letter from Charles M. Willch responding to the Society of Art's request for "the probable number of young persons...will have grown into manhood in the years between 1851 and 1861".
