In the 1840s, Victoria and Albert began to establish a family home in Buckingham Palace. Within their apartments the royal couple established private libraries. This is the catalogue of Prince Albert's library in 1843. Over the next two decades, Albert's collection greatly expanded and a new catalogue was needed (RCIN 1028951).
