WILLIAM TINKER (1816-94)
List of 22 Raphael drawings in the Teyler Museum at Haarlem [photographed by Tinker], giving the measurements of the originals where the photograph size is different, and the medium in which they are executed (the subjects are not listed).
1 - 31 Mar 1861Loose manuscript paper; mounted | 1 document (4 pages) (whole object) | RA VIC/ADDA10/85/511
Tinker begins the list with the comment that Passavant's list is very imperfect; the 22 that Tinker lists, he says, are all the Raphael drawings the Teyler Museum holds, although it has a large number of copies of these and of other subjects, in particular of 'The Massacre of the Innocents'.
This list may have accompanied Tinker's first consignment of 22 photographs and plates (see VIC/ADDA10/85/505), hence the presumed date.
Related Material: For related correspondence, see VIC/ADDA10/85/505.
