In the letter dated 20 August 1860, Jejeebhoy writes 'Understanding that Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness The Prince Consort take some interest in photographic views, it has struck me that is would be a novelty to them, to have in their possession, likenesses of some of their Indian subjects in Bombay, whom they have never seen. I accordingly take the liberty of sending to you some views of Bombay...'.
