Letter from William Lake Price to Dr. Ernst Becker reporting that his negatives have been damaged at sea and cannot be presented to the Prince Consort for inspection.

Lake Price reports that his missing luggage has been forwarded to him from Marseilles, but exposure to weather and salt water has destroyed all his negatives by causing the film to blister off the glass. They included those intended for the Prince Consort, but he will not now be able to send them to HRH for his inspection.
