SIR ARTHUR MAGENIS
Letter from Sir Arthur Magenis to Dr. Ernst Becker regretting that he can no longer help with the photographing of the Raphael drawings in the Swedish royal collection because he has been transferred to Naples, but offering his assistance there

Magenis thanks Becker for his letter, but regrets that as he has been transferred to Naples and is on his way there, he cannot arrange the photography of the Raphael drawings in the royal collection at Stockholm for the Prince Consort. He suggests that Becker send the same instructions to his successor, Mr Augustus Paget, and that the commission be given to the photographer Hansen as soon as possible, before he resumes his other photographic work. He offers his help at Naples, if needed.
Augustus Paget was almost immediately transferred to Copenhagen as Envoy to Denmark and Norway, and replaced in Sweden by Hon. George Jerningham.
