Evidently in response to a letter from Dr. Becker, Bingham expresses himself ready to photograph the drawings at Lille if permission can be obtained from the authorities there. He thinks he should start at once, to take advantage of the fine weather, and he will start on the drawings at the Louvre as soon as Becker sends him the list. He asks what Prince Albert thinks of the Meissonier photograph, and will be pleased to send him a copy if he would like it.
