Grubb writes that he has received the ring sent to him as a present from the Prince Consort to thank him for his help in having the Raphael drawings in the library of the Royal Museum in Stockholm photographed, with Dr Becker's letter (see VIC/ADDA10/85/536); he asks Ruland to convey his thanks to the Prince, and also for the volume of photographs of the Raphael drawings in Windsor which HRH has sent for the Royal Museum in Stockholm.
He goes on to promise that as soon as it is ready he will send a photograph, with the negative plate, of the Timoteo Viti drawing after Raphael's composition for the church of Santa Maria della Pace in Rome. He presumes that Count Platen will write to express the King of Sweden's gratitude for the volume of photographs.
