Letter from Ludwig Gruner to Charles Ruland thanking for photographs and sending the negative of a Raphael drawing and copies of 100 photographs from the Dresden Museum.

Gruner writes regretting that time constraints prevented him from seeing Ruland near Frankfurt; he also missed the exhibition in Cologne because the festival at Antwerp took up all his time. He expresses thanks for the photographs Ruland has sent him, which are very good. He is now sending the negative of Herr Halle's little drawing, of which he thinks Ruland can have a better print made in England than in Dresden; he asks for two good prints for Herr Halle.

The cost of the negative is 9 shillings. He is also sending two copies of their series of 100 photographs from the Museum; if Ruland wants only one, Gruner asks him to send the other to Mr Robinson [at the South Kensington Museum]. For the sake of completeness he has included the photographs after Raphael of which Ruland already has better photographs, but these can be set aside and the cost subtracted from the payment to be made, which is £10.10s per copy. Finally, Gruner asks for 6 prints of the great salver (grosse Schässel).
