Lord Aberdeen discusses communications with Lord Cowley. He mentions that the Tahiti affair has not made much progress and refers to M. de Jarnac's view. He discusses M. Guizot and encloses a note (not present) from Lord Cowley regarding M. Guizot's difficulties. Lord Aberdeen mentions the perceived view of Mr Hay on the Emperor's conduct and also refers to letters from M. Dedel and Sir Robert Peel.
