HENRY REVELEY

Letter from Henry Reveley to Dr. Ernst Becker regarding his Raphael drawing, and his wish to obtain copies of those in the Royal Collection.

21 Nov 1859

Loose manuscript paper; mounted | 1 document (4 pages) (whole object) | RA VIC/ADDA10/85/82

Reveley apologises for his delay in replying to Becker's letter (see VIC/ADDA10/85/74), and states that he has asked Philip Delamotte to send the negative of his Raphael drawing to the Prince Consort. He has seen in the press that HRH has published the Raphaels in the Royal Collection and gathers from Becker's letter than he can obtain copies from the South Kensington Museum. He adds that he already has copies of two drawings from the collection, published by Chamberlayne.
