      George Anson writes that he dined at the Palace last night. He mentions Queen Victoria's appreciation of the Queen of the Belgians being there but states that the King's arrival would cause 'unpleasant things being said as to foreign influence'. He refers to [Lord] Ashley and Mr Duncombe in relation to the opposition to government and also encloses the purport of last night's speech by Sir Robert Peel regarding the factory question (not present).
