I music manuscript, composed and written out by Prince Albert. This work, composed in 1845 and scored for full chorus and soloists, is one of his largest compositions. Many of his vocal works set poems by others, particularly by his brother Ernst, but Invocazione was a setting of a poem by Albert himself. How I thought of dearest Albert's feeling so shy about ever having this composition performed, which I had helped in writing down for him, & singing the solos for him.
