Copy letters from William Shaw to Prince Albert

1) Copy letter from William Shaw to Prince Albert, dated 6 November 1846, reporting that he had previously sent a letter to the clothiers, who provided clothing for the Army, asking them to pay their workers a fair wage (see VIC/ADDA10/56). He asks that Prince Albert demand the same of the clothiers providing the uniforms for his own regiment. Also enclosed is a follow up letter dated 13 November 1846.
2) Copy letter from William Shaw to Prince Albert, dated 4 January 1847, stating that he has not yet had a reply to his previous two letters of November 1846. He asks for Prince Albert's consideration of an enclosed statement (see VIC/ADDA10/57).
