Becker writes to thank Mr Reveley, on behalf of the Prince Consort, for six copies of Philip Delamotte's photograph of Mr Reveley's Raphael drawing, together with the negative.
He adds that HRH hopes that it will accord with Reveley's intention in presenting the negative to him, if he deposits it at the South Kensington Museum, which has already published many reproductions of Old Master drawings, so that this drawing may also be made to known to art lovers and students, and set an example to other owners of such works.
