Becker writes that he has received the photographic prints and the 3 cases of negative plates which Erskine has sent; the prints were carefully labelled and listed by Mr Grubb, and the Prince Consort wished him to be sent a present. HRH has commanded him to send a copy of the volume of photographs of the Raphael drawings at Windsor to the Royal Museum in Stockholm, and a diamond ring for Mr Grubb himself; these will be sent to Erskine via the Foreign Office for him to give to Mr Grubb, together with the letter he encloses (see VIC/ADDA10/85/536).

He has sent payment for Hansen's charges. Finally, Becker conveys the Prince's thanks for the trouble Erskine has taken in arranging the photography and dispatching the prints and plates, and asks that future correspondence on the subject be directed to his successor Charles Ruland, as Becker is returning to Germany.
