A photograph of a drawing in the Royal Library, Windsor (RCIN 912730) thought to be after a drawing by Giovanni Francesco Penni for the now almost entirely destroyed fresco 'The sacrifice of Isaac' painted by the workshop of Raphael (c.1517-19) in the basamento of the fourth bay of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican.
According to Dacos (see Bibliographic References), the basamento paintings of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican were executed in grisaille and imitated bronze reliefs.
