Albumen print | 28.5 x 21.6 cm (sheet of paper) | RCIN 852412

A photograph of a drawing by Raphael (c.1508-09) currently in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford (inv. no.WA1846.188). The heads relate to the young man standing in the left foreground of the Disputa (The Disputation of the Holy Sacrament), painted in the Stanza della Segnatura in the Vatican between 1508 and 1511. The angels also appear in the fresco at either side of the Holy Dove. On the verso of this sheet is a draft for a sonnet: see RCIN 850157 for a photograph of the verso.
