A print reproducing the head and shoulders of one of the Biblical figures flanking Christ in the fresco of the Disputa (The Disputation of the Holy Sacrament), painted by Raphael around 1508-09 in the Stanza della Segnatura in the Vatican. The figure reproduced in this print is usually identified as St John the Evangelist, and is the long haired man writing on a tablet held upon his knees, sitting on clouds inhabited by winged heads of putti on the left of Christ. Dated and lettered with engraver's name at lower left.
