Albumen print | 28.0 x 21.2 cm (sheet of paper) | RCIN 852388

A photograph of a drawing catalogued by Ruland (1876) as being then in the collection of Dr Wellesley at Oxford. The drawing reproduces the head and shoulders of St Bonaventure, from Raphael's fresco of the Disputa (The Disputation of the Holy Sacrament), painted around 1508-09 in the Stanza della Segnatura in the Vatican. He is reading intently from a book he holds open in his hands, standing on the right of the altar.
