A print reproducing the head of the dwarf painted in the right foreground of 'The Vision of the Cross', a fresco executed by Raphael's workshop in the Sala di Costantino in the Vatican between 1520 and 1524. Numbered at upper right: XXIII. The insription at lower right identifies the figure as Mandricardo. Probably plate 23 of "Tetes choisies de personagges illustres..." published by Fidanza in Rome in 1785.
Paolo Fidanza became famous for publishing six volumes of prints of heads after Raphael between 1757 and 1763.
