This print is based upon an engraving by Marcantonio Raimondi dated c.1520, which was made after a drawing by Raphael now in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford (inv. no.WA1935.152). Signed with monogram at lower centre. Numbered in the upper left corner: II, and in the upper right: 2. From a series of eight numbered plates (see Robert-Dumesnil 1865, IX, nos.300-307).
