An anonymous print often considered as engraved after a first but entirely different design by Raphael for the Sistine Chapel tapestry of 'The Stoning of St Stephen'. Bartsch attributed the print to the School of Marcantonio Raimondi. Lettered on stone at centre foreground. Only state. The engraving has occasionally been related to a drawing by Raphael now in the Albertina, Vienna (inv. no.211; see RCIN 853080).
