The Coronation of the Virgin with Angels and Saints, and God the Father above

c.1530-35

Engraving | 34.0 x 25.0 cm (sheet of paper) | RCIN 853211

An engraving after a design generally attributed to Raphael. Second state (not described in Bartsch). Lettered with publisher's address at lower right. The engraver's monogram (a die with the letter B, originally at lower right below Lafréry's address) has been cut off. The engraving is generally dated c.1532. According to Bartsch, this print is a repetition of an engraving of this subject which he described as in the style of Agostino Veneziano (B.XIV.64.56). See RCINs 853214, 853215.
