This drawing depicts a woman holding a book and a running warrior. Ruland (1876) noted that a drawing now in the Gallerie dell'Accademia, Venice (inv. no. 525 recto; see RCIN 854363 for a photograph of it) is the original after which the figure on the left in the Uffizi drawing has been copied.
