A photograph of a painting by Raphael (c.1506) now in the National Gallery, Washington DC (inv. no.1937.1.26). In his Raphael Collection catalogue (1876), Ruland listed the painting as being then in the Hermitage Museum, Saint Petersburg; in 1937 the painting passed into the possession of A. Mellon who later gave it to the National Gallery, Washington DC, where it hangs today. Laid down on Arches watermarked paper. This photograph was not listed by Ruland in his Raphael Collection catalogue (1876). Another photograph of the painting at RCIN 851448.
