A print by Battista Franco representing a large group of Philistines gazing at the ruins of the deity Dagon. This is the first state of the print which is signed by the printmaker with his monogram. Annotated on the verso. Inscribed with the collector's mark of William Esdaile (Lugt 2617).

This print reproduces a drawing that was previously attributed to Raphael: see RCIN 850220.
