A photograph of a drawing by Giovanni di Pietro (known as Lo Spagna) now in the British Museum (inv. no.Ff,1.34) depicting the head of a man. Ruland (1876) relates this drawing to a painting by Lo Spagna depicting the Nativity now in the Pinacoteca Vaticana, Rome (inv. no. 40316). This painting is also known as the Madonna della Spineta.
