A photograph of a drawing depicting The Descent from the Cross which was catalogued by Ruland (1876) as being then in the collection of the late Professor August Grahl (1791-1868), Dresden.

The central portion of this drawing shows some similarities with a print of the same subject executed by Marcantonio Raimondi: see RCIN 850448 for it.

August Grahl was a German miniature painter and collector, whose collection was sold at Sotheby's on 27-28 April 1885.
