published 1803Etching | 16.8 x 28.4 cm (sheet of paper) | RCIN 850377
An outline etching depicting the Annunciation after a painting that Ruland (1876) catalogued as by Titian. This print is lettered with the title in French, German and English at the bottom of the print. Signed by the printmaker with the attribution of the drawing to Raphael. This print was published as plate 428 in C.P. Landon, 'Vie et Œuvre complète de Raphaël Sanzio', 1803. Annotated on the verso.
See RCIN 850376 for an engraving of the same subject by Enea Vico, which was probably the source for this print.
