A shepherd

A photograph of a drawing attributed to a member of the circle of Pietro Perugino now in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford (inv. no. WA1846.12). Annotated on the verso.

This drawing is very similar to that on folio no.4 of the so-called "Libretto di Raffaello" or "Libretto Veneziano" now in the Gallerie dell'Accademia, Venice (inv. no. 66 recto). This drawing, according to Parker (see Bibliographic References) appears "both superior in quality and more elaborate in technique" than the one in the Ashmolean Museum.
