An outline-etching reproducing the composition of an engraving by Giorgio Ghisi (Bartsch XV, p.403, no.46). The latter is based on a drawing by Perino del Vaga currently in the Musée du Louvre, Paris (inv. no.593). The present print credits Raphael as the inventor of the composition. Lettered with titles and production details. Published in C.P. Landon, 'Vie et Œuvre complète de Raphaël Sanzio', 1803, plate 376.
