An engraving after a design reputed to be by Raphael or Giulio Romano, probably inspired by an Antique sarcophagus once in the Villa Aldobrandini and now at Woburn Abbey (Shoemaker/Broun 1981). First state. Signed with engraver's monogram on a tablet at lower centre within image. A very late state with the address of both Salamanca and Rossi at RCIN 851817.
