Dido destroying herself

An engraving the composition of which is largely based on a print by Marcantonio Raimondi (RCIN 851677: after a design by Raphael). The original figure of Venus has been converted into Dido destroying herself; the landscape has also been altered. Signed with engraver's monogram at lower right (on the plynth).
