This etching is an anonymous reversed copy of an engraving dated 1532 catalogued by Bartsch under the Master of the Die (XV, p.190, no.10B). This etching reproduces a composition corresponding closely with the upper part of a drawing attributed to Perino del Vaga now in the British Museum, London (inv. no.1860,0811.10). The composition has been formerly given to Raphael. Signed with false monogram of Marco da Ravenna at lower right: SR.
