A lithograph after a drawing attributed on plate to Raphael which was listed by Ruland (1876) as being then in the possession of the late Hofrath von Dräxler, Vienna. The drawing has been previously connected with the Madonna of Monteluce, a painting completed by Giulio Romano and Giovanni Francesco Penni in 1525 partially after designs by Raphael, to whom the commission was originally entrusted in 1503. A photograph of the painting at RCIN 851401.
