A photograph of the so-called Alba Madonna, a painting by Raphael (c.1509-11) now in the National Gallery of Art, Washington DC (inv. no.1937.1.24). In Ruland's Raphael Collection catalogue (1876), the painting was described as being then the Imperial Gallery of the Hermitage, St Petersburg.
