A photograph of a drawing formerly attributed to Raphael now in the Uffizi, Florence (inv. no.1775 E).
The drawing, which corresponds largely to Raphael's so-called ‘Small Cowper Madonna’ (although in reverse), has been formerly thought to be the preparatory cartoon for the painting. It is now generally regarded as a copy. A photograph of the painting is at RCIN 850693.
Showing the seated figure of the Virgin supporting with her right hand the Christ Child who is standing on her lap throwing his arms round her neck.
