A print after the ‘Holy Family with the Infant Baptist’, a painting now in the Kunsthistoriches Museum, Vienna (inv. no.630) generally attributed to the workshop of Raphael after a design by the master (c.1518). The composition is reproduced here in reverse, with slight alterations in the landscape. Lettered within image at lower right: R. VRBINO IN.VE / IVLIO B.F
Showing the kneeling Virgin supporting the Christ Child on her thighs with both hands; the Child reaches for the Infant Baptist, who kneels down on the left with his left arm being grabbed by St Joseph, who stands behind the group holding the bridle of a donkey; in a landscape.
