A photograph of a drawing catalogued by Ruland (1876) as being then in the collection of Cav. Amici, Florence. The drawing is a copy of the so-called ‘La Perla’, a painting now in the Museo del Prado, Madrid (inv. no.301) generally attributed to Giulio Romano (c.1518-19) possibly after a design by Raphael. A photograph of 'La Perla' can be found at RCIN 851004.

Showing the full-length seated Virgin supporting the Christ Child and resting her left hand on the shoulder of St Anne, with the Young John the Baptist approaching the group on the left offering fruit, and St Joseph partially hidden in the middle left foreground; in a landscape.
