Head of a woman
published 1734Etching | 21.2 x 14.6 cm (sheet of paper) | RCIN 851010
The Louvre drawing is presumably a copy after a lost drawing by Giulio Romano connected with the figure of the Virgin in the so-called La Perla, a painting now in the Museo del Prado, Madrid (inv. no.301) generally attributed to Giulio (c.1518-19), possibly after a design by Raphael. For a photograph of the painting, see RCIN 851004.
Showing the head and shoulders of a woman, with cloth wrapped around her hair, looking down to the left.
