A photograph of a drawing catalogued by Ruland (1876) as being then in the collection of the Grand Duchess of Saxe-Weimar. The drawing is an old copy of a study ascribed to Raphael now in the Uffizi (inv. no.534E; a photograph of which is at RCIN 851038) preparatory for the figure of the Christ Child in the so-called ‘Holy Family of Francis I’, a painting attributed to Raphael and his workshop (1518) now in the Musée du Louvre, Paris (inv. no.604). A photograph of the ‘Holy Family of Francis I’ can be found at RCIN 851028.
